Welcome to the Opera!
In this recent collaboration, the Peace Region Music Series proudly partnered with Edmonton Opera to bring the art of opera to Grande Prairie, Alberta. Esteemed artists Frances Armstrong and Bruno Roy joined us for a memorable recital, delighting a captivated and enthusiastic audience with a selection of opera's most cherished pieces.
Outreach
Beyond the recital, this collaboration extended its impact to the younger generation in the community. Armstrong and Roy visited École St. Gerard, where they engaged with 126 students from grades 3 to 5. Their afternoon presentation, aptly titled “What’s Opera?”, offered an interactive and educational glimpse into the world of opera, fostering early appreciation and curiosity among the students.
